DOCTA
Durham-Orange Community Tennis Association
Our History
Over 25 Years of Supporting Our Youth and Still Growing Stronger Since 1998
The Durham-Orange Community Tennis Association (DOCTA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1998 and supported by volunteers within the Durham-Orange Community. The mission of DOCTA is to promote and encourage diverse and inclusive tennis participation, programming and leadership involvement in Durham and Orange Counties, North Carolina. The mission is accomplished through the conducting of clinics, workshops, lessons, seminars, tournaments and other special events and activities relating to the promotion and development of tennis. Our goal is to help children ages (4-18) develop and learn the skill of tennis and to provide opportunities for them to move from junior to college or professional participation. Tennis is a sport for a lifetime, and adults of all ages are given the opportunities to learn, improve their skills, and compete in leagues and other events.
Volunteer involvement is encouraged and appreciated.
